10" wheel ???

Hi there,
Just a quick question, would a 10" wheel be too small for an average size minibike?

10 inches should be a perfect size for wheels on your mini bike,

Yea that thought is still there. Its not that rough terrain so im sure the 10s will handle it well. Also i did try the 12- 15 inch wheels but there is no place like northern tool or harbour freight near me. The best wheels for 12-15 have plastic hubs and would not work the best.

Also could i just weld the wheel to the axle, would it have enough strength in the welds to keep it from shifting? I am not too sure how much the hubs in the wheels i mentioned can take?

welding the wheels is a last resort most times. if welding, bearings are not needed. when the wheel messes up, you have to cut it off. so not the best idea. those wheels are for compressors, power washers etc. not really made for riding on. now what you could do, is run a good bead on the axle to act as a stop, measure over the distance of the wheel plus washer, and drill a hole for cotter or other style lock pins

Would that be enough to hold the wheel?

I was thinking of welding up a homemade hub that would be fixed on the axle, i would then drill a series of holes through the actual wheelhub and retain the wheel to the homemade hub using bolts and locknuts. basically you would slide on the wheel and it slots into bolts on the homemade hub to keep it in place. would that hold?

Honestly 10" are really small, I'd go with at least 14".

14"s are not avaible. closest i can get have plastic hubs. could anyone give me a link for 13-15s

seems like it would. depends on the materials involved. my 15's only measure 13".
