Well I wasnt going to post anything untill it was done but I got bored and decided wtf why not. So it all started as the blue only part. I than added braces to that. The kart was originally a kids kart with a 3.5hp on it. I then added angle iron to extend the frame about a foot and than added smaller angle iron as a frame for the adjustable seat. The seat frame itsleft is made of angle also. The backrest is part of the old kart seat. Yes my english sucks and yes this thing weighs a ton. But does anyone have any comments positive or negative.

Question for you smart people out there. Does it matter if the brake is on one side of the axle instead of the middle??? Like on the outside of the wheel bearing?? Im using a band brake from a minibike and it would be alot easier if it could.:toetap05:

It won't matter. In fact, if you have really strong brakes and good tyres it's better to have the brake closer to the bearings. If it's in the middle it has a tendency to try to bend the axle. The same thing occurs with the sprocket and high powered engines. The closer to the bearings the better.

It will work fiiiiiiine.

I'm confused, so the frame was rusty and blue, then you cleaned it up and painted it red and now you are adding a bunch of angle to it? Why would you clean it and paint it if you were just going to weld a bunch of angle on it?

well i did it originally so there would be no corners without paint coverage for rust but than realized the heat melted most of the paint anyways. In a way it was an amateur mistake. BUT I did get the steering all done the rear wheel bearings welded on and now working on getting everything welded onto the axle. Most everything is custom so it will all be welded onto a custom axle. I even fabed up my own wheel hubs:wai:.....donno if thats a good thing or bad thing but ill find out when i drive it.:roflol: Ill post some pics later.
