1 way gear for off road skateboard

Whenever I am on my skateboard and I let go of the throttle it makes it slow down with the engine. I think something like a 1 way gear would let me coast like on a bike. Does anyone know where i can get a 1 way sprocket? It would have to attach to the axle.

get one of these and put it on the out put shaft.

is that a special type of clutch? i bought a clutch but when the engine is slowing down lets say from 6000rpm to idle speed, the clutch will still be engaged and will cause the kart itself to slow down..

The reason this is such an issue is that it is on a skateboard which is so lightweight and sometimes the de-acceleration can be enough to throw someone over the front.. which can be dangerous at high speeds!!! especially considering it could get up to 30-40mph before I tripled the motor size.

I have seen a jackshaft with a one way sprocket on it for sale but i have not seen a stand alone one way sprocket..

bring your chain to a bike store and see if the chain fits one of these:

you will probably need a left hand one, and some way to make it fit the shaft, bc the inner diameter is like an inch and a half
