Hi im in the process of planning out a diy go kart project and was wondering if a 1" axle would be enough for a 200cc engine. Thanks.

Oh yea. Plenty good.. But as long as the bearings are as close to the wheel as possible. Also good to have another support bearing next to the drive sprocket...

Yes it’s fine. As above statement will help also. And try and use 3 pillow block bearings also. I have a 1” axle on a golf cart with a gs500e engine and it’s been good since last year. And it’s rode hard. I have a build thread in here on it also.
