    Welding... Minimum power?

Question, how do I test it? If he does still have it and I go to check it out, how do I test it?

    Welding... Minimum power?

Emailed the second one and asked if it worked. Don't like the looks of the first one as guy said it's sold as is. I know absolutely nothing about the subject so I don't want to get something that might not be working because I have no way of knowing if it's broken or I'm just using it wrong...

Don't think I'll be able to weld so...Anyone have any advice on this?

My question about the 2nd one is, where do your legs go? I'm not a tall guy but I'm about 5'11 and not thin... It looks a bit small or awkward. I haven't seen it in person but it can't fathom how my legs would fit through that triangle and around them doesn't seem right either. Which is the...

    Welding... Minimum power?

I think for now I'll just purchase a cheap used frame from someone and go from there. I don't have the money to invest in the welder really right now anyway. Thanks for the help guys.

Run Lights off a honda gx340 without battery

You could build something like they use on bike wheels for those little blinking headlights. It wouldn't give you any real light though and it would blink constantly...

I'm leaning more toward the first one but I'm not sure.

    Welding... Minimum power?

Well, as it's not a vital thing(meaning just a side project), I'd say sub $100 with sub $50 preferred.... I'm sure that's laughable though. But, I'm hopeful at least.

    Welding... Minimum power?

I would like to learn to weld so I can build a frame. I don't have a lot of cash. Therefore, I'm looking on craigslist at welders and stuff. HOWEVER, I have no idea what to look for... Is there a minimum type of welder you must have to be able to give your frame strength?

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

*Pressure* :worried2: haha Also, that's why I figured I'd learn on go karts. I'd love to be able to repair my own cars and stuff but we don't have any that we can live without haha. We had 2 lawn mowers and only one worked so I figured the other one would be the perfect experiment.

    Very inovative

Pretty sweet. Seems to have a few issues but that's a pretty awesome chair. I'd think in the office the exhaust would become an issue though haha.

Well hopefully it's ok. I'll check it out. That's what I get for being a noob and taking advice from my brother-in-law haha...

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

Well, I'd love an RAGB I just don't think I can afford it. I was trying to figure out how to build something like it and I'm considering something like the spider gears you're talking about but I'm not sure how I'd mount them.

Well... that sucks.... lol Wouldn't it not even turn over if it was seized ?

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

No hurry, my engine still has some issues. I took it apart and did the usual maintenance stuff, turned it on (assisted by ether) and it ran well for 15-20 seconds then squealed, carb opened all the way and it shut off. I'm thinking maybe it's a fuel intake issue but long story short, I'm going...

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

Hayden, if you could do that step by step that'd be AWESOME. And yes, I don't have money really to put in to buying parts at all haha. I've done a little bit of researching on centrifugal clutches and can't figure out where to scavenge them from so pulley tensioner clutch could be my key. Let...

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

Wow, not sure what I did when I searched but all I could find were discussions that everyone just suggested 90 degree gearboxes or something of the sort. Thanks for the help! Though, now that I'm reading those, they all seem to either suggest RAGB or junk riding mower gearing?

I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

Has anyone come up with a "great" way to do this yet? I can't afford to do a 90 degree gearbox of any sort (and have been looking and surprisingly can't find anyone willing to give up an old dead riding mower) and the oil pan is on the bottom so I won't be able to turn it... I'm thinking the...
