So i want to build a kart with front suspension, but i want it to have a hot rod straight axle feel. I was thinking suicide-ish dropped front axle with some bicycle rear shocks. heres a drawing on paint i did to get a visual. Any thoughts? with the shocks i may have to add another tie rod in...

Assuming you got that seat for free, since free was the goal here..im jealous. Wish i could find stuff like that.

hmm ive had a go kart with approx 15in O.D rear wheels and a 72tooth sprocket on rear with a 6.5hp. Seems to do just fine for one person on board. You wont really be able to spin the rear wheels though. Torque-A verters are nice if you can afford the extra cost.

ok lets try this again.. my versions of a go kart made from a shopping cart. the second and third pic is a work in progress for more of a rat rod looking cart. going to put a leaf springed suicide front end on it somehow.
