you might be able to find one of an old snow mobile or something, what size of shaft does the engine have?

i was wondering if i could just use the muffler in the picture above (the one i currently use) but make my self a header then screw that muffler onto the end of the header would that work? Kinda like this

Hi there, i live in a residential are, and i recently bought a high flow muffler for my go kart (8hp) the muffler gives the kart much more power and top end (compared to my old muffler). But my main problem is that it's way to loud for where i live. Any suggestions on what i could do to keep...

It's a homemade kart with an 8hp Tecumseh, runs great, has 14" tires all around top speed is aprox. 75km/h and has loads of torque

if it keeps getting harder to start you probably have some gummed up jets in the card, take it apart and clean out all the jets.

yes, the shaft is drilled and Tapped, i think it's a Max torque clutch but i'm not 100% sure, thanks for all the suggestions, i'll try them out

Hi there, i just joined the Forum, anyways i have an 8hp off road go kart and the clutch seems to keep coming loose and is sliding all over the drive shaft, (centrifugal clutch by the way) and i couldn't tighten it as much as i could but it would still slide around when drive it any advice...

i don't think it's possible with a torque converter
