We'll see, these stamped bearing are rated for 1000lbs of dynamic load capacity. A casted one would take about 2600lbs. I saw some jackshaft made with flange mounted stamped bearing, witch take the same dynamic load as base mounted like mine. How much load do you think the chain is applying...

1. it is impossible for the swingarm to hit the jackshaft unless it smashes the shocks and raised so high that the floor of the buggy would almost hit the ground. 2. thats right the chain will take a little loose when swingarm moves up, but i wonder how much, maybe it will not be a big issue...

last update for now: Brand new 1045 steel Ø1-1/4 shaft, SKF square flange bearings and 42T martin sprocket. Mounted it on the swingarm. Also, making new wheel hubs suiting the rear shaft.

updates: Recieved my new comet 40 series as per your advise and all the stuffs to make the jackshaft.

Updates: I've finished my front suspension, perfect stiffness. I recieved tha rack and u-joints so i build my steering column with an offset. And i've made my swingarm and mount it wit the shocks

Because i wanted to keep the rest of the space as a trunk to carry stuff, luggage, lunch or extra gas can for example. i'm gonna make a flat surface with rods going side to side

Ok **** is fixed! fliped the engine around and reweld the exhaust in the good position.

Of course i will not let the fuel line rest on the exhaust. I will turn the engine and see if i need to switch the fuel tank to the other side too. Maybe it will be ok if i only reroute the fuel line Thank you

Hahaha so a stupid mistake! i even never thought about it since the exhaust was looking rear side! :lolgoku: Not a big probleme, the V-twin has a symetric shape so i will turn it around 180° and it will fit perfeclty. But i will have to modifiy the exhaust pipe a bit. :oops:

Other updates. Making the fuel tank out of a refurbished air compressor that i bought for only 35$ ! I was looking for an air tank with no compressor, but i've been seduced by the very low price. I used the stock drain plug of the compressor, which is a NPT fitting that perfectly suit the...

Updates! doing the engine bay and rear cage: I drew the exact bolt pattern, print it 1:1 and punch the center holes, so the engine's base fit perfectly in the welded nuts.

Then i'll order 40 series now to recieve it asap, anyone wanna buy a comet 30? haha

Since i already recieved it and installed it on the engine, i'll test it and gives you feed back. it's never too late to buy new 40 series drive & driven clutches and install them without changing anything to the setup!
