    My Zero Cost Build

Yes, the seat was free. It is going to cost me about $60 for a new cover for the seat though, the original one went to the dump yesterday. Too many mice used it for parts of their nests :) I had to clean my garage over the weekend so my wife could get in and out of the house without fear of...

    Done finally!!!!

Ok, my last Jeep comment :) Didn't mean to completely jack your thread....they 304 has tons of top end, but straight out of the box the 258 has almost as much torque as the 304....put a weber carb on it and you're strokin'

wow really? It has been too long since I've owned one...I used to be able to tell at a glance. My first was a '74, 3spd and a nicely built 304.

    My Zero Cost Build

Ok, so I am picking up additional stuff for my zero cost build tomorrow. I have a buddy who is moving from VA to CA and is clearing out a bunch of stuff. Included in that is a 15 year old Riding mower. I'm not sure about anything other than the tires from it, but I'm sure I can scavenge quite...

My most recent purchase (to be)

Check marinas in your area (if you have big lakes rivers etc). Ethanol does nasty things to boats a lot of them here on the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac rivers still sell ethanol free gas, I would hope other marinas are doing the same.

    My Zero Cost Build

Ok, so I'm guessing this thread is going to be ongoing for a long time. But since I acquired my first part today I figured I'd start it. Donor motor is coming from an old Garden Way Tomahawk Shredder/Chipper. I'm not sure how long it has been since it was run, but the engine turns over...

    New From Virginia

Thats what I was thinking. Just figured I'd ask......I'm hoping I can salvage some parts from the actual shredder too. I'm sure it has a pretty mean shaft and set of bearings at least on it. Not sure what I can use them for, but I think I'll find something. I can't wait to start...

    New From Virginia

Ok, so I've always thought go karts are fun, but I've never had my own, built one or worked on one. I figure if I can build a Jeep, I can build a go kart right? I hope that doesn't sound to arrogant :) I have twin boys that were born in march, I know they are too young now, but I figure it's...
