Calling all machinists! Just 1 little question!

Currently in the process of doing a full rebuild on my '04, RMZ250 after it collapsed a crank bearing. Wanting to do it probably, while the cases are split, all bearings will be replaced. I have a problem with two of them. Unable to justify OEM retail of $100+ each for these bearings. I have...

    Car problems.

I have a 2000 Subaru B4 with an EJ20t in it. When ever I brake heavily I get a shudder in the steering wheel and feel the pedal pulsing. I thought it could be excessive runout on my discs. How much is to much runout? I have measured one dic and it was about 10-15 thou. Any other things to look...

    Good Tools.

I just brought a heap of Proto tools. Got them at a very good price. Sockets, spanners and anything else you want. Just need a toolbox to put them in. And, yes that is a 2 1/2' spanner!

Wiring up a GSX600F motor to a go kart!

Re-reading the above post i'm a tad confused. It has 3 wires going in? I think that when the stand is down or the clutch is engaged, the switch will be passing from the positive feed from the battery to earth. Then when the clutch is disengaged or the stand is up, the feed will come from the...

    GPZ750, Piranha build.

I thought I might as well start up a thread. Now that i'm getting down to the business end of things. A bit of history. Ages ago I brought a Sidewinder without an engine. I had all intentions keeping it as a Sidewinder. I was on the look out for an engine and came across the 750. It came with...

Wiring up a GSX600F motor to a go kart!

Lol what happened there? Here is the picture. Hopefully it will work this time. I would use your original wiring harness. Just cut out the safety switches and add an on/off switch. Easy-peasey :worried2:

Wiring up a GSX600F motor to a go kart!

All the GSX diagrams I have looked at only have 7 pin Ignitors? Older, newer, larger and smaller? Are you sure you can count? :arf: Just joking. I'll keep looking for a wiring diagram with a 12 pin ignitor. For that link (wiring diagram) I posted earlier, I would do this.

Wiring up a GSX600F motor to a go kart!

Hey, I didn't have the original harness so I made it from scratch, just to prove that the engine isn't a dud. Can you post the wiring diagram here? We have to be a member of that other forum to view it. I have attached a diagram I managed to find for mine. To bypass the safety switches all I...

    Mig, Gas solenoid.

We have a Cebora Mig welder, lately I have noticed that the gas flow is almost constant. You start the machine up, start welding and when you release the trigger you can hear the gas still flowing. Sometimes the gas is a full flow or like a minimal leak. This suggests to me that it maybe a...

    Two Stroke wont start.

Okay figured why we have low compression. Blow-by much? Not sure if the rings have worn enough to jump off their locator pins and rotate. Or maybe it was done last time it was rebuilt. Now it should be some fun trying to find a piston and set of rings. Anyone have any info about boring...

    Two Stroke wont start.

I have a late 70's, early 80's Yamaha YZ400. 400cc Two stroke. Somewhere along the line, someone has build their own exhaust, which was more like a four strokes. I have now modified that and added in an expansion chamber, originally these bikes did come with one. Now the bike wont start. It has...

    kawasaki kd125

You can see the needle valve in this picture. It stops the fuel entering the bowl when the float applies pressure to it. Normally, if you have compressed air available blow it up there and it *should blow though where you circled it red, if you dont have a fuel filter this commonly gets...

    Old School Yamaha.

This is a old Yamaha bike I was just given! The guy I got it off said that it ran a couple of years ago. He reckons its a tt420 2 stroke. But I cant find any info on it. Anyone help with the model? The numbers above the clutch cover are 547-000722. Still searching google, but to no avail...
