I'll put the other 10T sprocket back on just gotta figure out how to space it. Think somehow adding a tensioner could help? I can't get the chain any tighter. I can also try denting in the cross member but with how much the chain is jumping I don't think that's going to help much.

There are two clearance problems: one is between the cross member and the axel sprocket + chain, the other is the chain as it sits on top of the jackshaft (10t) sprocket also sitting on top of the bushings used to space the sprocket away from the mount. I couldn't find anything small enough to provide the space and not have the chain run on top of it. No bushings I could find were that thin with a 3/4" inner diameter. I'm new to this and obviously not a mechanic/fabricator so not sure what other alternative to use.

I put the Go-kart up on jack stands and ran it pretty hard. Didn't notice chain lurch or anything (no noises). I even gave it some resistance with the brake. Seems to only happen when there's a heavier load to move.

It was in a Comet sleeve (came with the go-kart) but judging by the state of the other things no clue. I can try ordering one and see what that does.

I got the new sprocket/chain on and it definitely helps. Thanks for the suggestion. The 10T/60T barely fit with the chain but they fit. I think there's still a bit of a jerk of I give it too much gas too quickly. I really have to ease on to the gas starting on a hill. I'm going to see if I can...

Thanks. That's very helpful. I'll start looking for 40 or 420 sprockets. I was seeing a lot of stuff for 35 but that was for smaller 212 sized engines.

Looks like the chain size is 530. Not seeing many sprockets with that number of teeth. Do you usually just order from Azusa? They seem like the only place that has something for a 530. Noticed the chain isn't sitting great on the sprocket too

From what I can tell it is 38 and 10.
