Hi thanks for the info. Yes the hole is at the bottom. It is still connected to the rod coming from the engine governor and the rod to the butterfly. The only problem is we have the lost the throttle rod and have been unable to find out what the replacement should be. Hope this makes sense.

No, we want to dismantle the carb to give it a good clean but no point if we can't get the linkage. As I said it was running well until the parts went AWOL!
