Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I'm not keeping the little one 😂🤣. The wife is already fussing because I have 3 now. The first one I had was a 100 like this and 75% of my household wrecked it (including me). Speed + not being able to turn well due to a short wheel base, and wanting to ride wheelies unless you're leaned over...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

Fixed the crack, added a bunch of material on both sides for strength, and filled in the big dent I made on the kickstand.

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I took out some frustration on the kickstand bracket. I like how this sits. Note - it's not the correct bolt. I didn't feel like threading it just to take it back off.

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I need some carb advice before I lose my mind. The carb I was using originally measured 26mm and I had installed a 115 jet. Idk what's wrong with it but I've taken it apart several times and no matter what I do it floods and leaks gas. So that one is done. I get a lot of (almost) free stuff off...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I worked on the new motor a bit yesterday and fixed the recoil issue. I have a bruise on my chest from pulling it, and it snapping back. Well, apparently I had the valves lashed horribly wrong. I think I had my TDC wrong when I lashed it. This time I held my thumb over the spark plug hole until...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

Thanks for the pics. My kickstand mount does have some wiggle room similar to what you're showing, but it's not nearly enough for a proper lean. My bolt isn't all the way in, nor do I have the spring installed until I finish welding / painting. I think I see the issue. Your mounting tab leans...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I don't see anyway to adjust how far out it extends. I removed the spring and bolt to heat / bend it. Even with the bolt fairly loose, there's not enough play for it extend outward very much. Maybe I'm missing something? That's a good idea but my woods go straight downhill to a swamp. And it's...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

Yea, they could. I'm gonna bend it some more before I finish

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I bent the kickstand and it now stands on its own. Thoughts? Leave it as-is or bent a little more? I feel like it might need a little more.

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I'm not 100% sure which model it is. The plastic crankshaft is throwing me off. That's usually found in 224's and some older 196's. 19X7-8. The old ones were completely bald from being driven on asphalt. I put the same size on with fresh tread, actually raising it some. The kickstand is still...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

I've got some welding to do before the new motor goes in. I'll probably shorten the kickstand while I'm at it. It's so long the bike won't stand on its own, even with the brand new tires I recently installed. I've decided to install the Predator I've been building in another thread...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

What else do you want to see? Judging by how it shot out of the engine I'm SUPER lucky. It must've hit the bottom of the fuel tank. And the fuel tank was full (I had just topped it off before the final ride because I thought the issue was it being out of fuel). Had it pierced the fuel tank I...

Adding new motor to my Christmas list

Things have finally slowed down and now it's DISCOVERY TIME!! It looks like a half @$$ governor delete caused the failure, but here's what I've found so far. I'm still digging. Yes, that washer and piece of plastic was inside. I was able to remove the spark plug by hand (no tools)...

    Mini Bike Rebuild

I ended up putting the old ones back on. I sold the bike earlier this year and I've moved on the 200's, which are far better suited for an adult.

    Baja 200 Upgrades

Thanks. I'll swap to the new key before the first crank.

    Baja 200 Upgrades

The previous owner already rigged up a running light on the back. I could probably mount one of these in the faux gas tank. https://a.co/d/9p7kudX

    Baja 200 Upgrades

You're referring to the flywheel from the Baja? I'm not sure. I guess for mini bikes, when you go aluminum, you just take the headlight off or get a battery and tender? I can't find any aluminum flywheels with magnets on the inside for a charging coil. Speaking of flywheels, that aluminum one...

    Baja 200 Upgrades

So, my Baja has a headlight (swapped with LED) and I didn't originally consider that when I built this Predator. Can I simply steal the charging coil from the old motor or buy a new one? This is the aluminum flywheel I bought - https://a.co/d/048GCgJ. From what I'm reading, I just need to pull...

    Baja 200 Upgrades

I prefer to just weld all the internals together, but I guess that would work.

    Baja 200 Upgrades

I've officially encountered the hardest part of this build....reassembling the pull start recoil assembly. I can't tell you how many times it sprung back on me. I got it together a few times but the pull cord was limp (i.e. 6-12" inches that wouldn't retract on the coil assembly). After many...
