I don't use mine, but the T/C came with a plastic cover. You can buy them separately for about $20.

Looks good. While you're playing with the grinder and welder, you might want to make a shield for that rear sprocket since it now sits lower than before. There's nothing worse than putting hours of work into it and your kid tears it up on the 2nd lap.

    Need setup advice

Here's a split 60T 40 series. https://www.gopowersports.com/split-sprocket-41-420/ Notch out the frame, clamp this to the 428 sprocket, drill out holes and bolt it (can't weld since it's aluminum), buy a 40 series chain, and use the 10T 40 front sprocket that came with the T/C. Perfect 6:1...

    Need setup advice

Honestly, your best bet is going to be to convert to a 30 or 40 series sprockets. I don't see any splits for 428 that are more than 30T. Here's a 56T (not a split). You'd still have to remove the axle and do a good bit of cutting/welding to make it work. WPHMOTO Rear Sprocket 428 Chain 56...

    Need setup advice

Welcome to the forum. Like me, you've found the right place to get help. You'll find that everyone here is super helpful. Ok, some prerequisites... What gearing do you have currently? Front tooth count and rear tooth count? The goal here is to be 6:1, so 10T/60T or 12T/72T. You're going to...

Yerf Dog w/ Hemi Predator 212

I purposely drove harder / more wreckless than I normally would, taking hills/mounds at WOT and trying to jump it around as much as possible. I'll pay for that tomorrow. The welds all look fine. I also pushed this thing across the yard by the rear rack and it feels stiff, with no flex, which is...

Tomorrow we test my welding skills....again.

Yerf Dog w/ Hemi Predator 212

Well, the welds didn't hold. The torque converter belt had wore out so I put a new one on. The new one hadn't gotten broke in so when you crank it it wants to pull and if you don't give it gas, it'd shut off. So, the wife had the girls out and my daughter had stalled it. She decided to push it...

    Mini Bike Rebuild

I need your help again guys. Who can identify my mini bike model by the foot pegs? A Coleman CT100U seat fit on it, so I assumed it was in that line of bikes and ordered slightly longer foot pegs for that model. They're completely different and made for peg brackets twisted slightly up. Mine are...

Great info, thanks! I reached out to see if he still has it.

    Mini Bike Rebuild

Yes sir. I haven't clocked it yet but I feel sure it'll outrun the go karts (top speed so far has been 34 MPH on the red one). When I give it throttle it doesn't lag at all. It just goes. One day I'll test it down the road. What's your thoughts on the 212 Ghost? Someone is selling a new one on...

Nice! Do you have issues with the right foot peg? I can barely get my foot on mine due to the motor sticking out.

Sorry man, I have videos in the other threads. I can't record and drive on this thing lol.

    Mini Bike Rebuild

Yea, we had this discussion in a go kart thread. It's just not for me. Master links are made to make the chain removable. Yes, your method is stronger but if the chain ever has to come off I'm going to be cussing. And in in this case, the master link didn't come out, I hit a bump and chain...

The chain tensioner is back on. It didn't take long for the first pop.

    Mini Bike Rebuild

That might be my only option. My pegs measure about 4". All of the replacements I've found are 4.84". I'd like at least 6-7" (that's what she said). But seriously, I may try to cut and extend the right peg.

    Mini Bike Rebuild

The mini bike is a success! I ended up removing the chain tensioner. I don't think I need it. No throttle or braking issues. I can drive it much faster now that I know I can stop and the rear wheel will hold air. My only complaint is that the right foot peg seems too short due to the motor...

    Mini Bike Rebuild

Honestly it'll probably be next weekend. I can't find one of the pieces to the master link for the chain. I just ordered a replacement. And the replacement bracket for the brake hasn't come in yet. I'm definitely ready!!
