With my torque converter I take off pretty fast but only do about 31mph. With the max torque clutch ( the one that uses chain only) I have no take off but it does about 45mph. Why??????? Heres a picture of the kart.

So I took off my governor and, yes I plugged the hole underneath the gas tank. Its leaking oil like hell from the recoil side behind the fan somewhere. Any ideas please?? Its a brand new motor, hope I didnt ruin it!!

Now I have a new problem, I still havent been able to fuuly enjoy my new motor!! My chain keeps braking where you put them together, ( sorry for the explanation) forgot what its called. Any ideas why?? I have great torque now but I know its not enough to break the chain 4 times in 45 min.

I have a briggs 8 hp and im going to reduce the shaft to 3/4" to install the torque converter I have. Without the torque convereter it does about 26mph and takes off pretty quick. Will it make a difference if I put the torque converter on it??
