    Yerf-Dog Warrior?

I like the hobby, it scratches my itch to restore things, but I have no desire to go as hard-core as a full car. I just dont have time between wife, school (wife and I are both in Bachelors programs, then I plan on my Masters), kids, house, church, gym. The kids aren't ready for restoring.

    Yerf-Dog Warrior?

So do you know if there is a size difference? I can't find any info on it. I have another Yerf-Dog that needs some work and an engine, but I dont want to keep buying go karts that need work. I don't have the time for that. I have one that is mostly done, needs some finishing touches and another...

    Yerf-Dog Warrior?

I found a Yerf-Dog Warrior on FB with no engine or torque converter for $300. Thoughts on this? I have a 3203 (I think) that is kinda a work in process, is the Warrior bigger? It looks bigger.

    250cc engine rated "22hp"

I have a Yerf Dog 3203 that I need to get running. It doesn't have an engine or TC. My Dad has a Polaris Trail Boss 250 that the transmission is jacked up and he can't get parts for. So he said I could have it. It has a 250cc 2 stroke that they say was rated for 22hp. I'm not sure how or if I...

    Bent tie rods

No, that wasn't me. I just ran into this issue. A couple weeks ago I was still working on getting the engine to line up with the TC.

    Bent tie rods

Yup, looks like I have the 3200 series and Panchothedog has the 3203. They definitely learned what to do better on the 3203. Oh and I didn't circle it but you can see the Pittman arm is flipped on the 3203 vs the 3200. Such seemingly small but important updates.

    Bent tie rods

I really like the steering set up on your kart. It must be a different model than mine. But on yours all the steering components are up higher in the kart than on mine. Like my Pittman arm is actually below the frame of the kart. Wondering if I should do some modifications to bring mine up higher..

    Bent tie rods

I wonder if I could have some metal bent and welded on to my spindles so they look more like Panchothedog's.... I have another kart I'm gonna be fixing up (it doesn't need a full restoration) maybe I will check what it's spindles look like. It's very similar to this one, but I think slightly...

    Bent tie rods

You mean like flip it around on the steering shaft? No the holes don't line up right. The Pittman arm hits the frame of the kart that holds the steering shaft in place. Also I think it hits the frame when turning the wheel.

    Bent tie rods

I see a huge difference in why yours are almost level. On your spindles where the tie rods bolt on it is bent up and over. My spindle is flat from the factory. In post #4 I took a close up pic of my spindle. It's oriented funny, but you can see where the tie rod bolts to it, it is straight.

    Bent tie rods

So how do you make your own? Just stack a couple washers getting smaller diameter as you go up? To use them my tie rod end would have to have a long enough bolt though, right? I will have to check, this seems like a good idea, along with limiting the travel of the spindles. I think im gonna bend...

    Bent tie rods

Ahhhh that makes total sense... a rock might have forced the wheel/spindle too far and bent it. So limit how far the spindle can travel. Any ideas on what beefier tie rods to get along with that?

    Bent tie rods

Stop points in steering with the shaft or the tires?

    Bent tie rods

I see what you guys are saying, but it looked like they were both bent front to back before I took them off. Not bent up and down. The suspension bottoms out A arm to frame, no bump stops and there are no holes in the are to look like there ever was bump stops.

    Bent tie rods

Yeah, I JUST changed the shocks to the third hole. They were in the second holes when the tie rods got bent.

    Oh close up of spindle...

    Bent tie rods

I just put the shocks in the inner most mounting hole on the A arms. They were in the middle so it was a little bit lower. I didn't do any modifications to the steering (that I'm aware of) the kart had no tie rods when I got it and the Pittman arm was all bent up and I straightened it out. I...

    Bent tie rods

So, just the one day of riding the newly restored kart and both tie rods are bent. What the heck did I do wrong? I didn't hit any big rocks or go off any jumps. What's the solution? I can't be replacing tie rods every time I take it out. On the ride home I could tell that it was steering...

Metal Paddle Wheels for a 600cc Go Kart

Holy crap. I've never seen that before. That does not seem like a fun time to me. I can't imagine how much money they have wrapped up in those rigs, and then to see them cartwheel back down the hill if the slightest thing goes wrong. Cool to watch, gives my wallet a panic attack, and it's not...

Metal Paddle Wheels for a 600cc Go Kart

That's nuts. You have more videos of questionable builds? Love me some crazy ideas coming to fruition. You ever watch Grind Hard Plumbing on YouTube?
