    Gearing Conundrum

I'm not worried about the frame, it's steel and I'll add gussets everywhere, and the axles are 3/8" bolt-on and won't pop out like a quick release. I am worried about the brakes, but if I can find a fork I have an old set of hydraulic disc brakes. I don't think I can put on a 70 tooth onto the...

    Gearing Conundrum

Found an old single speed bike on the side of the road, and my friend has a ton of old parts left over from a build, so there is only one logical thing to do here. I think it is a 6ish hp engine w/ torque convertor, the bike is a 27.5". So what gearing should I run? 10 to 54? This will be an...

    First real project, ideas, tips?

So I finally learned to weld in shop class. We have about 5 or 6 Briggs and Stratton 5hp in the back and I’m going to see if the teacher will let me Frankenstein one together. I also found a $40 bike at the thrift store, and if I mashed them tighter I could have something that I could easily...

    Brake fluid

Hey, it’s been a while. So I was bleeding some hydraulic brakes and used dot 4 fluid. They aren’t working super well, and I realized it says on the cap that you need dot 3. Is the reason the they aren’t working? Is there really a big difference between the 3 and 4 fluid? Thanks.

    How to ajust govenor

Like I said in the title. I don't want to remove the govenor, cause' I poor and don't have money for a new engine if this one blows. I've heard you you can move the gov spring to different holes on the gov arm to ajust the rpm. I just need to know which one. I might just use the ziptie trick.

    Sprocket stuck on axle (again)

Hey guys, thanks to your advice, I am in the process of installing a brand new t/c for my go kart. Problem is, the nice new sprocket I got won’t move, because the key in it is to big. Any suggestions that only involve very simple hand tools (also, no torch either)? Thanks guys!

How do I change my name?!

So I just got here. I think that my email is kinda a lame name. So how do I change my name and add one of those quotes on the bottom, like: Just keep hitting it, will fit eventually. Oh, and also, does anyone have that quote thing? Alright, thanks.

What size are the t/c bolts?

The title summarizes it. I have bought three different bolts for the crankcase cover to use to mount the t/c to it. Does anyone know the size? And what is the size to the thread inside the crankshaft? Thanks guys!

    Will heavier clutch springs help

So, due to oversized tires and not wanting to spring for a torque convertor, my clutch has worn out. It engages when I start it, and I can’t stop without jamming on the brakes. If I buy something like what’s in the link, will it help...

    Stuck go kart sprocket

Hello, this is my first post, so sorry if I don’t know how to do this. I have a sprocket in my go kart, it had two bolts on it, one came off. The other snapped off. I tried to drill out the bolt, and drilled down into the axle. It still won’t come off. Also the clutch is glued on with blue lock...
