opt for the 420 chain, worth the extra money. Also , I’m rocking 7.6:1 gearing and it’s overkill in the torque department with the 420’s , even at 500lbs+
Ok I follow, yea I considered the backplate kit from gps but it was about $550 w comet parts so I just found a genuine one on eBay a builder never got around to installing for about $220
Let me rephrase, the pulley can float , the chain sprockets are pretty fixed, it did slap the chain a bit but since adding a tensioner on the final chain I haven’t heard it
Sprocket and chain are supposed to both be #41 , i assumed it was stronger than the 40. I’m upgrading to the #50 sprocket and 530 chain. Yay more parts ..
Help! The chain started slipping on the sprocket, and yes it was very taut. I lost about 3 master links , and finally the drive chain snapped one of it’slinks open. The link came apart in like a Y shape. It is a type #41 should that happen ?? Should I go back to the huge type 50?
Drove it in the back yard which is pretty steep and wooded, feels like a torque monster , I’m afraid it will be slow.. all was well until the axle chain shot off it’s master link somehow.. more parts yay
