I went and bought a comet clutch assembly with built in keyway, however had a keyway problem with the shaft, I had a really hard time getting it off, in fact I didn't do it, Northern Tool did it for me. Very cool of service department to do that for me, bought guy a soda.

Key Problem Were you able to remove the key from the engine shaft itself, so you can bolt on the clutch with key attached? How did you do it?:backtotopic:

I have a stripped out set screw on an old Briggs 5hp engine, I am replacing that engine with a brand new one on a Streaker:auto:, but the last thing I have to do is remove the back clutch piece that is being held on by a set screw. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

not trying to take over the thread, but if I have a stripped out set screw on an old briggs 5hp, can I use the tap through it method you described, or should I just drill it out? Thanks in advance.
