Does anyone have a good picture of a throttle kit attached to there motor? I'm looking at the ones on eBay now and would like to know how they are done before spending the money. My stock set up goes direct to the lower gas tank and would like to know if I use this type of set up it would give...

I installed new cam,valve springs, new head with a fire slot in it, 3 stage header, K&N air filter with a velocity stack. I had to modify the stack to fit the newer style carb. Engine sounds really nice with the header. Respond time on take off is great seems like the kart wants to wheely...

Well here she is all completed. I started this project about 3 months ago and the end results were great. Did an engine rebuild with upgrades to a total brake down of every part on the kart. Did all sanding and painting myself. With several new parts that she needed.

Bigger is better. Most people under power their kart from the start. I would go 5 to 8hp.

Correct on the 2 engine set up. That there is a nice classic kart from the 70"s I believe. They came with double 3hp motors. Be nice if you could get her back to the golden age. Not many of them around anymore. I saw one like it in nice shape shape go for $1500.00 on Craigslist.

I had the same problem with only one side coming off and the other seams like it was welded together. I heated the rim up till almost red in color and used a BFH to drive the axle out. It did mushroom the end a bit but I just used a cutting wheel to remove that end and cleaned it up. No money...

You can try ebay or even craigslist for one.

It looks to me it is.:iagree: Should be going upwards.

Turn the mixture screw all the way in (clockwise)be careful not to over do it. Then turn it out (counterclockwise) 1.5 turns. This will allow you to start the engine to do final adjustments. you can find all the infomation you need on the Briggs web site. Hope this helps. Ron

Here the Cougar. I also own a 2006 Ford ranger FX4 a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT V8 and a 2007 Bayliner 175. I don't have pictures of all the cars. Proud to say the Cougar has brought home 30= trophies doing car shows.

Nice Job!!!!!! I would love to work on my karts in the house where it's nice and warm but the wife would bust my head.

Here is my first rebuild of the motor that will be housing the Dingo I picked up. I forgot to take the before picture but let me tell you before I started you could not evn till there was a motor under all the grime and grit.
