What I did on my Sat off

Very cool reminds me of driving on the highway here haha. I don't really understand how one of these races works but what is that guy doing on the track? There are speeding vehicles passing so close to him; had me scared for him. I noticed you were signaling with your hands when you passed him.

Police will Arrest us for Disturbing the Peace & Confiscate our Karts -Advise Welcome

Trucks may make a lot of noise but at least the trucks leave the area eventually. Your go carts stay in a centralized area and so does the noise. I do not think that a sound meter cell phone application will constitute as a legitimate sound survey. That said I am not up to date on what is a...

    Baja Dirt Bug Project.

Got a new sprocket for the DB. I ordered the OMB doodlebug sprocket adapter and a 60 t split sprocket threw that all together easy. The bug now goes 45mph and it is a little scary. It feels like the rear end of the bike rises up as I get up to speed. Does this sound right or should I be concerned?

    predator and azusa build

I'm not too sure exactly the specs of the azusa frame however from pictures it looks similar to my doodlebug. I have a predator in my bug and yes the fuel cap is also under the top frame bars. However, there is a couple inches of clearance to remove the cap. I use a funnel inserted into the...

    Baja Dirt Bug Project.

Bearing change I've been waiting on parts for the DB I rode it out pretty far and blew a bearing and had to walk it back 30 min or so. Just got my bearings size 62012rs from vxb bearing bought 10 bearings for about 12$ +shipping. In the meantime I've been repainting the DB from yellow to my...

    Baja Dirt Bug Project.

Sorry I didn't take more pictures. I just wanted to get this done so I can ride it tomorrow. Sticking a new motor on is as easy as tracing where the wholes on the mount are and putting that down on the mounting plate and drilling new holes. Luckily the baja bug uses 35 chain so it is very simple...

    Baja Dirt Bug Project.

Well I didn't mean to but I finished putting everything together in a few hours. I'm getting better at this putting a motor on it stuff. Now to fine tune everything to the way I want it. I just have to find another baja bug frame to put the old motor on now haha.

    Baja Dirt Bug Project.

I received a baja dirt bug + cash in a trade for a go cart so I immediately started pulling parts together to make the thing more adult friendly. A project and cash to start and finish the project **** yeah! The bike has a 97cc motor that is absolutely wimpy and the chain is awful loose. Well...

    go kart belt

I love it when that happens. I was looking for a belt for my friends parents hoover vacuum the other day and couldn't find the exact one so I grabbed a belt for a zenith vacuum or something that looked like it would fit and it fit perfect. Not to be off topic but why would you design so many...

6.5 hp engine (Honda Gx200 Clone)

Well what has been said about making your own muffler is the cheapest and acceptable way to go about it. However it will not be quieter than the stock muffler. What is being made by taking the old flange and putting a pipe on it makes a straight pipe. This give the engine a bit more power at the...

6.5 hp engine (Honda Gx200 Clone)

Heck that dosent look too bad compared to some I've seen you can probably get away with all the parts that are on there. Go ahead and check the airfilter out unscrew the thumbscrew on the black plastic thing and pull the cover off once the screw is removed. Make sure to remove any debris inside...

    blew a tire

I ,forgive the term, whipped ****tys on plain asphalt for 3 hours and they are still okay (they aren't okay when I can see the tube). I was mostly afraid of the tires coming off the rim even though they fit perfect and I had no problems there. 5 dollar throwaway tires locally isn't such a bad...

    blew a tire

They aren't that bad you know its really easy to mess up a bearing (especially in HF case wherer the wheels are meant to go on wheel barrows) but its really hard to make a tire that doesn't......tire. Luckily I was able to get the old tires rim into the new tire perfect fit I do not predict any...

    blew a tire

Was riding my cart and was about a mile out just testing some adjustments I had made and I turned around in a street and a rock or something popped my right front tire as I slowly rolled over it. So I limped it home. I went to harbor freight and was able to use the tires from a wheel I found...

New to carts not new to small engines (Illinois)

cart pics Sure. Lets start with the old engine a honda 5.5 with a briggs and stratton gas tank crudely mounted on it. The cart went pretty fast with this on it and a 13 tooth clutch; as well as spray oil all up your back. Heres the whole cart. I've taken it all apart and put it back together...
