^^ agreed i would look into some spoilers and what not for down force. unless you plan on getting a pilots license :eek: little fun fact, at just over 100 mph a indy car has enough down force to drive upside down...

ok. i am finding mixed reviews on the shaft size of the 79cc predator engine. nothing is listed on HF's site. anyone know for sure so i can get the clutch ordered?

i noticed how well built the frames are and this is why i plan to mod the second kart. i have NO desire to ride this kart. WAY too small, after i finish the second kart for the boys i may have to build one for myself :rolleyes:

as jim stated there needs to be a spacer there. the bearings are not designed to carry a side load.

i saw your thread a few months ago when i bought the karts. you did a nice job :thumbsup: i feel the steering is a little snappy as stated. this will be addressed as well. i will start a separate thread for the build.

thanks for the input guys. as for inexperience, at the age of 6 my boy can drive my wife's atv with me on the back by himself. he knows throttle control and braking very well for his age. we are just new to karting. 79cc it is. :thumbsup:

one will have right hand threads and the other will have left hand threads. this will allow you too loosen the jam nuts and adjust steering linkage by spinning the rod without complete dis assembly.
