    one wheel drive

ml toys- i fully well know what a differential does and its working.. but maybe some ppl here are unaware that in one wheel drive the other wheel adjusts its speed itself on turns rather than slipping poboy kartman-its not that i am poor.. its for a competition having a certain weight limit and...

    one wheel drive

2 differen axle make a differential system...apart from saving weight that was the reason we used 2 axles.. this prevents the tyres from slipping during turns

    one wheel drive

they dont seem in line now beacuse i havent fixed the long axle.. u can see that second bearing from right is not bolted.. to keep them in line i have given 2 bearings per axle so that they remain in line while driving .. these are nt hollow axles and toogether they both weigh 6 kgs.

    one wheel drive

2 different axles removes the need to use a differential and reduces the slipping during turns because the bearing in the non powered wheel adjusts the speed itself while turning.. there are commercialy produced vehicles using this principle.. this kart is made by me and not bought from somewhere

    one wheel drive

i intend to cut the right hand axle.. power is transmitted on th left axle as u can see the sprocket there.. i want to cut the axle between the 2 inner bearings.. is it safe to do so ? will it affect the control of the kart in any way

    one wheel drive

my go kart has 2 rear axles.. 1 for each wheel.. power is transmitted to 1 wheel only while other wheel has a bearing for it to rotate.. thing is i want my kart to be really light.. so i was thinking of cutting the axle on which power is transmitted and make it short... so there will a be a huge...

    four wheel steering system

we are planning to make a 4ws with 2 rack n pinion..one at front and rear each connected by bevel gear with variable teeth on either side.this will help me manage the turning angle of the rear wheel with respect to the front thus controlling turn radius without unstability

    four wheel steering system

i have seen cars making 4ws.. their turn radius is very low.. the dont use hydraulics necessarily and can work mechanically ttoo.. they work using bevel gears...

    four wheel steering system

i am thinking to employ 4 wheel steering system instead of conventional rack and pinion or wagon steering system.. what are the pros and cons of this system and how does it work??

    power train electric

yeah i saw this link but i think they will cost a lot of import duty because i live in india delhi.. see on converting the cost of motor into rupees it costs around 9000 rs... and another 10000 rs just for the shipping.. too very costly.. this is a link for china based country.. i have to make...

    chassis design and material

see right now i have to clear the virtual round of my competition where i will have to show them virtually what all i am using and why.. then in synamic round i will have to make my kart.. hope you get my point

    chassis design and material

yeah i saw that link.. i was wondering how i would mount my motor and battery.. seems a nice idea to me the way they did it in that link.. but i think motor of 800w should be supported more heavily than this.. moreover the weight of motor is around 8-9 kgs...

    chassis design and material

You mean to say that when motor is switched on then rear axle can bend the frame? A bumper is surely gonna be added.. Do i need 30mm od and 2 mm wall thicknesa or as said earlier 25mm and 1.2 mm wall thickness enough for me? how to add some triangulation at the end? Yeah i am using sealed...

see i need formulaes to find out whether a given motor can run my kart or not.. i have to frst calculate and then buy.. say i have a 800w 48volt dc motor at 1100 no load rpm... and i connect it to 48v 40ah battery.. how do i calculate the acceleration provided by the motor.. my kart...

    chassis design and material

i have tig welding available.. my question still stands 1) HOW TO CALCULATE OD FOR KART FRAME 2)HOW TO CALCULATE GAUGE for FRAME i need formulaes so that i can verify that a given material with given specification can take the load of the kart
