    steering problem

A larger steering wheel is out. (my gut get in the way). I have thought about using atv handlebars just to be different and maybe have more control but my son doesn't really want that. I guess I have to brainstorm some more.

    steering problem

Hey all, I just test drove my off road buggy in a rough pasture. Problems is the steering wheel will jerk out of your hands when you hit dips and holes. I can control it fairly well but for my 13yr old it's a handful. On smooth ground it's fine, steers and handles ok. I do not have a rack setup...

    comet 40???

Update Well, I just test drove the buggy and the driven clutch floating on the jackshaft works just fine. It actually self centers the belt. It's feels good when something I don't know about works like it supposed to.

    comet 40???

That's kinda what I thought. I will only float on the shaft about a 1/4 inch. The way I see it as long as everything is squared up the floating will help center the belt between the driven sheaves. When I take it for a spin that will tell.

    comet 40???

Hey there, I have a comet 40 converter and was wondering if it's ok for the driven pulley to "float" on the jackshaft or do I need to make it solid and in line with the driver pulley. Thanks.

    adding brake fluid????

Hey all, I am about done with my silver fox refurb. I added a master cylinder and caliper setup from a chinese atv new from ebay. I know how to bleed the system but there is no reservoir to add fluid to. How do you add fluid to the system? Do I need to reverse bleed the system from the bleeder...

    rack and pinion help

The way my a arms are built I'm about as close to the pin as I can get. I took the rack apart and noticed the grooves for the steering shaft only go half way across the shaft. If I have the rest of the shaft grooved then it will travel as far as I need. I realize I will have to turn the...

    swing arm and jackshaft q's

Good deal, Thanks a lot guys. I'll just put the jackshaft towards the front of the engine cradle and build my swing arm so that my wheels aren't so far back. I only need 6" of travel or so.

    swing arm and jackshaft q's

Hey all. Has anybody used a double jackshaft arrangement? I want to use a axle only swing arm setup like the picture but the motor sits so the jackshaft sprocket would be right above the axle. I need to move the jackshaft sprocket forward by using two jackshafts and running the rear sprocket...
