    Welding... Minimum power?

    I would like to learn to weld so I can build a frame. I don't have a lot of cash. Therefore, I'm looking on craigslist at welders and stuff. HOWEVER, I have no idea what to look for... Is there a minimum type of welder you must have to be able to give your frame strength? :huh:

    I know it's a beaten topic but... vertical shaft to horizontal?

    Has anyone come up with a "great" way to do this yet? I can't afford to do a 90 degree gearbox of any sort (and have been looking and surprisingly can't find anyone willing to give up an old dead riding mower) and the oil pan is on the bottom so I won't be able to turn it... I'm thinking the...
