has anyone ever done a footshifter im thinking of putting the clutch on the back of the steering wheel would i just put a spring on the shifter?

a while ago i took off my govenor and now when i tried 2 start it up yesterday it wuldnt start......i replaced the sparkplug but i think the problem is probely internal cause im getting good spark....its a powerfist 6.5hp(honda gx200 clone) can anyone help?
