    Brakes are a little smokey

    So we finally took the kart out for it's virgin run... it went well for being on pavement with knobby tires. My concern right now is the brakes. It seems they need a little tightening, and i'm not sure if these kinds of brakes are supposed to have pads or what, but just two times around the apt...

    Kasea any good?

    Air inlet on rim is busted, what to do?

    The air inlet/valve stem on the rim is torn... is there a way to fix it? I can't pump up the tire w/out that piece.

    Heck of a CL deal

    Just picked this up for $150 off Craigslist... apparently the ladies son picked it up for a project and never got around to finishing it... Got home, threw some gas in it (was bone dry from sitting for a year) cranked right up. Not bad for something we thought was gonna need some more work...

    Wire feed

    Would a wire feed welder be good/strong enough for framing a dirt road worthy go-kart? Don't really plan on jumps or anything like that... If so, what would be a good one to get?

    150cc scooter engine

    Would a 150cc knock off of the Honda GY6 be any good for making an off-road go-kart? My wife and I have two crappy Tank scooters and we're looking at options for what to do with these POS Chinese made scooters once we upgrade to Honda Ruckus'. It's a 4stroke... just like the original GY6, but...
