So I recently acquired a Rupp wide hoop kart. I’m in the process of tearing it down so I can do a complete restore but I’m having trouble removing the brake. Is there a secret to this? What do I have to do to get it off the sxle? Thanks in advance!

Removed the governor. Installed top plate, fuel pump, header, chain guard, billet flywheel, Mycron 4 tach.

Thought I would post a progress pic. Got the body on it. New wheels and tires (Burris 33's). New fuel tank but not hooked up yet. Still need a header and top plate.

Trying to get it ready. Installed the floor, cotter pins everywhere, basic clean up. Still have to install the chain guard and a few other things.

Rode my kart tonight (couldn't take it anymore) for the first time since I got it a week ago. Had to fix some things (bad inner tube, missing snap ring on the clutch, etc.). It was awesome! That's all I have to say about that.

In the past when I've painted an engine, I've had trouble keeping the paint on the fuel tank. Soon as some fuel hits it...bye bye paint job. (actually had the vent on the cap spit out some gas once while the engine was running.) Short of powder coating, what can I do to keep the paint on it? Thanks

So...I've got 3 acres of unused property in the country. Looking to have a go kart track (not paved) where my friends and I can go and ride/race. Looking for advice or suggestions. Feel free to comment with any and all ideas. Thanks.

Anyone recognize this kart? Who may have mfg it? Included is a pic of the wheels as this may aid in the I.D. Although I'm aware the wheels may not be original to the kart. 6" aluminum on the rear and 4" steelies on the front. Any thought on make, model or year of mfg is greatly appreciated...
