if you were already breaking traction with a clutch then with a cvt you'll prob be losing some acceleration because of too much torque and not enough rpm. if you switch to a cvt i would prob change the ratio so you actually gain speed while getting the same acceleration

as colin chapman said "simplify then add lightness" you're fine though ur engine should make up for it but still simplifying the kart could make it significantly lighter

i think my kart is slightly lighter than me by like 40 or so lbs but im currently gaining so that's why im moding turns fast as heck though maybe too fast

Hi ever since i got my go-kart I've grown about 10" and i don't really fit anymore, i do but it's hard to turn from how close my knees are to my steering so i want to cut it( i also need help deciding where) and i wnated to do the welding meself cause i just thought it'd be more fun and cheaper...

couldn't the jackshaft be welded? how DID that happen? when you paid for all the parts for the axle, did u pay for them? and did they work?
