Yea on these engines the the cylinder and head is the same casting and ive got to turn it 180 degreese so i can fit a pipe. thats a good thing about these engines its eays to rotate the piston and head. as for the pipe i think im just going to make a high flow muffler cant be boatherd with...

Hi guys Went for my first ride on my bmx today. Sadly i didnt have sprockets for the right gearing but its sweet for moastly flat roads. The overall ratio is 11.7:1 with 19" wheels and a 49cc pocket rocket engine. On my short ride up the road my speedometer stopped working past 59km/h on a...

    should these be strong enough

was that becase it broke and wraped around the sprocket and jammed the wheel

    should these be strong enough

wait dosent it smoke because some of the oil is burning? so maybe the oil dosent burn as much as the other oil and is just spat out the exhaust?. or maybe it burns but just way cleaner?

    should these be strong enough

good question i have no clue. my old man had a cr480 which was ment to be 20:1 oil ratio but he got some expensive smokelss synthetic oil and then he was runing it 60:1 and that was about 12 years ago and it still runs today.

    should these be strong enough

yea i get what you mean about shifting got to rev it so the sprockets work kinda like flywheels to keep it turning and shifting. some smokeless oil would proberly be better than the cheap stuff i have. i rebuilt the bearings for the jackshaft there packed with grease andthey feel like real...

    should these be strong enough

yea i was wandering about bearing life im gonna rebuild them tonight and make shure their packed with grease. and im using the original deraillieur shifting shouldnt be too bad its just like riding down a hill at 70kmh and shifting and not doing it whilst accelerating. i wish we had plentyfull...

    should these be strong enough

yea it had a 21 speeds and i dont have yahoo messanger sorry my gear deduction should come tomorrow. so with a gear ratios form 15:1 to 30:1 it should be better than a single gear

    should these be strong enough

yea i still have it its also the clutch bell but it is 6 tooth and uses pocket rocket chain. any way heres a simple picture of the setup the black square is the motor with a 3:1 reduction. the reduction has an 11 tooth sprocket which goes to the jackshaft which has a 55 tooth sprocket so at...

    should these be strong enough

oh well if it does so be it but when the engine is doing 8000RPM it is only doing 533RPM so that is considerably lower

    should these be strong enough

it was'nt the sprocket that screwed on there was a ring that screwed on instead so i ground it off then the sprocket lifted off. not shure what type of crank

    should these be strong enough

naa trying to remove the sprocket thought it was a screw on kind turns out it was'nt

    should these be strong enough

yea it kinda sucks because its at the last part of the gears so it has more torque on it than the other parts. then again the other day i ripped my vice of the bench trying to remove a bike sprocket with the chain wraped around the sprocket and then into the vice and a 3 foot piece of steel tube...

    should these be strong enough

yea its the end of a crank. it goes from the engine to the reduction to the jackshaft to the wheel. have any of you used bike chain before do you think its strong enough? Thanks

    should these be strong enough

Hi guys this is part of my jackshaft for my motorized bicycle. A 55 tooth sprocket will be welded to the flange. i was wandering if these welds would hold with a 49cc 2stroke at about 3hp. the flange is welded to the end of a peddle which will make the jackshaft. i welded it at about 80 amps...

    is this a good mig

thanks a lot i will hold off on a mig but i might as well get a cheap one when i need one. i dont do much thin stuff at the moment anyway thanks
  17. M

    is this a good mig

thanks but if i wanted a really cheap one without infinite amps and only could use gassless wire would it still weld ok on thin things and i would use my stick on thicker metal

    is this a good mig

i found a welder cant remember its name it had digital voltage and amperage metres it was about 300us$ do you think this may have infinite amperage control? it was gas&gasless operation i think 160amp
