I'm honestly not worried about it. I'm working it out with seller. I already jb welded it and am able to pick up by the broken fin. It'll be fine as is. Here is it mocked up still have to clean. Making sure it'll fit and going to make an exhaust. Gotta figure out starter. Can't put new...

eh. It might impact slightly. But most of the shroud still covers the area where there is still fin. I might try to braze with this but need to buy a torch.

Makes me sick to my stomach. I might be using this block instead.. 😭 Have everything ready to clean all my grungy weathered shrouds. How important is that last fin? I jb welded it. But if when I clean off it looks like he'll ibmight just grind it off and soften up around side of block.

Eh probably too extreme for what I have planned for it. Will be using nos raptor piston. Offer of 10.00 accepted. Will just use billet rod and flywheel.

Put a bid on a NOS raptor piston. I'd rather use a performance std bore but my search is coming up light. Any recommendations? Undecided on rod length piston also. First time building a flathead.

Truth. It has some sharp edges. I was afraid like mentioned in another thread holes enlarged for alcohol. Looks like this was run on gas.

Quick carb clean. Looks like this saw some mud in its life. Gonna do a good soak and clean through out the week. Unmolested and tight.

This one is getting the 1974 shroud, doubt I'll use the recoil as I don't have the right crank. Not an issue imo.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I seem to remember reading somewhere a bushing crank can take a bearing, you just have to have the correct size being small or large. Right? my 96 should be large

Starting with a 133432 industrial plus block. Cast sleeve bearing. Removing governor, billet flywheel and rod. Going to try and get head welded a bit and milled. Will be going on cc100x for now until I find a small vintage bike.

    New project

I finally got the rusted clutch off today. I completely disassembled it and was stuck with sleeve. I had no torch so I though and came up with this hack. Used 2 boxes of sparklers each tied up. lit and held to crank. slid right off. lmao. Insides are near perfect. I also just purchased...
