I think the problem is that my head gasket is bad or my piston rings are bad

I have the Briggs and Stratton 5hp fun power and some specs are aluminium block and head full governor delete (no gear or arm) Tecumseh intake manifold (so that a 21mm carb can bolt to it) I am running 5-30 synthetic motor oil .5 quarts and a custom muffler

im trying something new I do a lot of work on predators but I feel like the Briggs have some potential there also bulletproof

Toque converter (30 series with comet belt) good for cruising don’t make cutch noise at all and they work as engine brakes when you start idling while your moving also where did you get the head from?
