Ah so the cable/rod will keep the lever arm centered? Do I need to worry about the brake pad resting on the rotor or is that usually not an issue?

I bought a predator 212 from harbor freight on black friday and am trying to put it on a go kart frame. I finally have all the pieces and I just have to assemble it. I kinda need help with the brakes though. and maybe paint. Standby for post. -Nathan.
