    Racing kart build

Some small racekart tracks don't have any rules and would allow any kart to compete, but most real racekart tracks have Tech Inspectors with a very strictly enforced set of rules that are required by the tracks sanctioning body and Insurance company. What track do you wanna race at?

    Race Chassis Id?

That's an oddball bolt circle size. I can see that your rear hubs also have a hub-centric lip protruding outward that would require the rims to have a larger than 40mm center hole. If you want 6" X 8" rims, Douglas makes them to fit normal Metric racekart hubs with 40mm axles; but online...

What happened to American made karts?

Starting way back in the 1960's, I think the ever growing popularity of dirt bikes, 3-wheelers, quads and side by sides were also hugely responsible for the dwindling yard kart market. But there's still serveral brands of race karts made in the USA.

Need help replicating the Graves 600cc kart

I don't know of any 40mm or 50mm racekart Wheel Hubs with a 4 bolt patern, but unless you want to fabricate adaptors: you could try contacting DWT and ask if you could special order a pair of 10x8 rims with the offset & backspacing you want, and a metric 3-bolt patern and center hole size made...

Can Someone Help Me Identify this Frame

It's difficult to Identify racekart brands, most all of them are fairly similar looking with just small differences in the details. I can tell that your brake caliper is a Righetti Ridolfi brand, and that's a good clue that your racekart is most likely one of the brands made in Italy. Look's...

    Help with seat install

Offset racekart frames like yours use seat mounting brackets, they're available from this site: https://out2win.com/catalog/seat_acc.html You'll need a pair of their clamp-on seat mounting brackets like the Part# 'RRSSA1' on the rear. And a pair of their Part# 'RRSSF' seat brackets on the front...

    Help with identifying cart frame

It's definitely an Offset chassis racekart frame, made for racing on Oval tracks. These types of racekarts also go by the generic term as being an 'LTO kart' (that stands for Left Turn Only) I used to race karts like yours at oval tracks, but I don't recognize what brand yours is. There's lots...

    Newbiew

You've got an vintage racekart frame from the 70's/80's era. Back then, there were over 50 different racekart brands that were all pretty much copying each other and building very similar appearing frame designs. Hardly any of those brands ever stamped their brand name onto the frame, i saw...

    Custom 1950s Go-Kart Restoration

Wow that's amazing! It'd sure be a lot easier & faster to just slap modern engine & componets on, but If you decide to attempt a period correct restoration: I'd start by trying to Identify which brand & model of riding mower or garden tractor they used to build it. Your rear axle/brake/hubs...

    New here

You need to post a top view, side view & rear view pic's of your whole frame. Frame pics with your Nerf Bars and front/rear Bumpers in place might give us additional clues... See if you can match it up with the Margay info and pics at this site: http://www.vdm46.com/margay-kart.html

Out of ideas on chain tension

Maybe it's just an optical illusion, but your pics seem to show the inner width of your chain is a lot wider than the teeth of your drive gear and axle sprocket. Does your chain seem to have excessive side to side freeplay? Did You install a #40 pitch Chain on one of the narrower width 1/2"...
