    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

I solved my axle problem. Now I just need to find some brake rotors with a 4x110 mm bolt pattern.

    4x110MM Brake Rotors

I found the hubs I need, now I'm looking for brake rotors. I would imagine ATV or motorcycle rotors would work, but I have no idea which models have this bolt circle, none of those I have found for sale tell the pattern.

    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

This will not be driven on the highway. Just cruising around the neighborhood and at shows. I imagine the axle will be short-lived, I will upgrade later to a DNA axle designed for full size motorcycles, but they are $2K and I need this thing to be at least a roller for a while. I will build the...

    Shovelhead Trike/Go Kart Axle

I have a Harley Davidson Shovelhead with a rough welded on hardtail. Tuesday I got my fiberglass trike body, made from the original molds from over fifty years ago. Had some wheels custom made. I ordered my axle with advice I got in this thread...

15" 5 lug Wheels adapted to 3 lug 1" Axle?

Really? I figured they were pretty strong. We have a gas powered cart here, with knobby tires and a flat bed on back. It's a work cart, not used on a golf course. We don't beat the **** out of it, but we don't baby it either...

15" 5 lug Wheels adapted to 3 lug 1" Axle?

I do have access to a machine shop, but at $58 I'll take my chances with the racing kart axle. Later when I have more cash I will drop the $1800 on a proper trike axle designed for this.

Those are Astro center caps. These wheels are re-production of the old Astro chrome slots; he makes them to order. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/new-astro-howard-style-chrome-slot-wheels.970413/

They pulled my trike body from the mold today, and I just ordered my wheels and tires. Once I have these parts in hand I can measure for the axle.

It’s pretty rough. My other one came out pretty good however.

15" 5 lug Wheels adapted to 3 lug 1" Axle?

This looks like the hot ticket: https://www.bmikarts.com/4-x-4-Billet-Aluminum-Idler-Hub-34-or-1-ID-Bearing_p_1644.html Except it is 1-3/4 thick; the 3/4" part of the step-down axle is only 2".

15" 5 lug Wheels adapted to 3 lug 1" Axle?

I talked to a fella today that can make two piece adapters so I can run 5 lug 15" wheels on the four lug hubs. I have maybe a dozen sets of wheels in 5 lug. I really want to take this to a local show run by some friends of mine in May. This is the 9th annual, I have never missed it and have...

15" 5 lug Wheels adapted to 3 lug 1" Axle?

I do realize that. My body is coming from Chip Quinn in Arizona; he has the original Himsl molds. I am using a Shovelhead I got in a trade. Servicars aren't cheap anymore, thay take a LOT of work to mate up to a big twin(flip it backwards, machine the housing to clear the chain, re-weld the...
