I tried that as well...just took a little longer for oil to get everywhere!! It you don't mind clean up, you don't need the catch can, otherwise, I would spend the 25 to 50 dollars for one!!

The only issue I have had with BMI is shipping. Sometimes a little high but I can live with it. My main issue is that I ordered items and asked for 3 day shipping. I paid for 3 day shipping and they sent it ground!! Otherwise, I like dealing with them.

The carb bowl is the copper colored "bowl" underneath the carburetor. It has a bottom retaining bolt that you remove to take the bowl off and a bolt at an angle to drain the fuel from the bowl. Joseph

My personal recommendation would be to add an oil catch can on that breather. Otherwise, there will be oil everywhere!! I know from personal experience with mine. Comet Karts has them and you can find them on ebay.

When you take off the carb bowl you will see it!! Can miss it.

You are right about the rack, but I call Scott at Ubuildit, and he said it will not affect it!! I built the front end using his plans to the tee!!! So, hopefully it will be ok.
