Yeah, worse case, buy a cheap used 10/22 that's beat up and just use the use the receiver and whatever else is good and build it they way you want it.

I paid $170 for one, basic grey synthetic stock with dovetail scope mount and no sights. Built it up from there.

Yea, I’ll just stick with the old tube fed Marlin or my Remington. And not have to screw with a clip and reloading it. I can reload a tube in about a minute.

I ended up polishing the bolt and inner portion of the receiver on my tube fed Marlin Model 60 and it made a big improvement on the action.

Any advice for the trigger on this 190?
Its a hard pull. The sear is crisp and not much drop after, but its just so dang hard to pull.

Looks like that one is a pain to mod. It's a drop in trigger group and finicky, apparently. Unfortunately there are no aftermarket trigger upgrades and not many parts available. You got an eye for modding, so I would look for a decent used trigger group and try and mod it. I would just deal with it, since in sounds like it is normal, but that 5-6lb trigger pull is awful. lol. If you can figure it out and some way to ease the pull, a YT video would probably go viral.

I'm going to try a little sanding on the sear. More polishing than removing, but we'll see how that goes.

Could also be a spring that could be clipped a few turns.

Haven't gotten into that yet.

That's what I would do, but I'd find a used group to mess around with and keep the original the way it is. Sounds like the original is exactly the way it should be, and parts are becoming hard to find since no aftermarket.

Fine valve grinding compound laps in bolts nicely. Just be sure to take it apart and clean thoroughly.

I used toothpaste on my ruger american bolt.
Watched some TV and worked it a few hundred cycles.
Got rid of that zipper sound and its just like butter operating it. Has a minty fresh smell.

The valve lapping compound is a lot quicker. Only have to cycle it a dozen times or so. My great uncle Joe taught me that trick when I was about 5.

IMO the expensive high dollar firearms are all matched upper and lower receivers, machined almost perfect and carry a premium price tag. Some simple elbow grease and time working these parts (polishing, compounds, toothpaste etc.......) turn these average affordable firearms into buttery smooth accurate tack drivers.
