Ok, I got everything re drilled and bolted on. On some instructions it says there is supposed to be a brass bushing that slides on, but mine did not come with one so I assume it doesn't need it? Mine is the 30-75. Also, the belt is tight going on. Is that normal? ---------- Post added at 11:32...

Is the comet 30 asymmetrical or symmetrical? When I did a mockup of the tab on the engine I did notice that the belt was not quite in line

Thats the same one I have.. And **** no Im not paying 370 bucks for the 40. Ill just make do with what I have :thumbsup: I did a mockup with the tav on the engine. Belt alignment seems to be a bit off so I will have to cut the spacer or use washers. Anyone else have to do that?

Thank you for clearing that up. That really helps. I figured I would have to drill new holes. Another question, I can't find any series 40s. Where can I find them, and what is the difference between that an the 30?

Well, I just don't understand how people use these on larger engines with no problems, I guess they might have a slightly different model. Anyways, since we have established that the bolt holes don't line up, what options do I have?

I took your advice after someone else explained what you meant, because it was unclear to me. I went out to my garage to make sure it fit. It did. What you stated wasn't a problem. ?

I don't know what you mean by that. Everything else fits fine besides the backplate which bolt patterns won't line up with the engine bolt pattern. I just put the clutch on for size and it fits fine?

I know that it was originally designed for engines up to 8hp. However I have seen others use this same tc on 9hp, 11hp, and even 13hp engines with no issues. Keep in mind, this won't be on a kart, so Im not worried about it only being rated for 8hp. If you have ever seen a wakeboard winch, they...
