    Twin motor kart

Any luck with info from your buddy? Just checking. I can't find any numbers, labels, or other identifying marks anywhere on the frame so far. It does look like a hi-quality kart, though, because pretty much every fastener is pinned, safety-wired, castellated, or nylocked. The manufacturer...

What can you tell me about this go-kart??

Prolly a 3-wheeler motor. Should get up and go pretty good once you get it going. A m/c shop should recognize it easily. Cool ride!

    motorcycle engine in cart

Actually, that GS750 would be able to hit WAY over 80 (depending on gearing of course), and it wouldn't be all that much more difficult to set up than a 250 - just bigger. It would be a tire frying machine, though!

Look for "gixxerkart" on youtube if you want an idea of what that will be like. Great if you have a sponsor for tires!

Have you ever driven a kart before? Lots of folks build with m/c engines. Just make darn sure your brakes are functional before you go out for a test ride! You laugh, but I'm serious! :-D

    getting more power

I read a writeup on a 6.5 hp blue clone motor, where the author removed the governor and did little else outside adding a less restrictive air filter and exhaust header. He got over 12 hp out of it by doing just that. I figured it might help out on a tec 5 also.

    Twin motor kart

I found an old ad on another site for "The 1984 Hartman Lineup", which included a single motor and a dual motor kart. The dual-motor kart retailed for $5,000 in 1984 (!!!) I don't know if that even included the engines - I don't think it did! The ad listed Hurst-Airhart brakes as standard, and...

    Twin motor kart

There's no way in heck I'll tear anything up before I find out what it is, so any help ID'ing it would be great! Where's Wolf Point in relation to Missoula/Seeley Lake/Blackfoot River area? My family has a cabin on the Blackfoot.

    getting more power

Remove the governor. That should get you up to 8 or 9 hp.

    Twin motor kart

The 4th photo is of the logo that is on the back side of both fuel tanks. It says "GARY HARTMAN" with a wingfoot-looking symbol in the middle.

    Twin motor kart

Well, I got it, so I'll try to post some pics. It is, in fact, twin KT100's, it has a disc brake on the back, drum brakes on the front wheels, cog-belt-drive axle clutches, 6-bolt wheels, dzus fasteners for the nosecone, etc. It certainly looks fast!

    Brake Troubles.....HELP!!!!

All bleeders closed, pump the pedal 3 or 4 times. On the last pump, just hold the pedal to the floor and don't let it up. While the pedal is on the floor, open the bleeder on the caliper and let it run out until all pressure is gone. Then close the bleeder on the caliper. Now - and not...

    Twin motor kart

Anyone have any experience with vintage racing karts? I have a possible opportunity to acquire an old laydown kart with what looks like twin KT100 motors on it. Anything I should look for in particular when I'm viewing it? Any idea of the possible value of such a kart? From what I read, this...

    Blue motor Locked up

Pull the spark plug out and see if it will turn then. Hard to believe it's just locked up after that.
