It has a new plug and a new coil. We did a spark test with the plug boot...no luck. Although it has a new coil, I am not going to rule out that it could be defective.

We are not getting a spark on the Roketa kart. Would it be advisible to swap in a new coil and/or solenoid? Is there any way to check if either are working properly? We can't figure what the issue could be.

Well, I ordered one from ebay. Estimated shipping on it is thie Friday the 21st. I hope that holds true.

Honestly, I'm not even really sure of it's function other than as a shut-off....emergency or security deal. Does it actually regulate the amount of fuel going to the carb?

I am rebuilding a Roketa kart and in the process, this fuel switch broke. I think I have found the correct one online, but I am wondering if this is something I can find locally. Is this something where another part will work? I would really rather buy it locally if I can. You can see in...

I did the same thing recently with my Carter Bros. kart. We stretched it 10", moved the steering to the center, and moved the throttle pedal to the far right. We added the plate in front of the actual seat so my son can sit there in front of me.

It looks something like this.... "Gas Fuel Valve"..."Petcock"..."Fuel Switch"...take your pick. Just need to find the right one...or similar that will work.

It is almost done. The little fuel regulator thing broke, so I need to find a new one...hopefully locally. The wiring is just about done. Only thing lacking is installing the new headlights. I also need to go back and paint the rear swing-arm portion.

We're up and running again. I picked up the new chain and installed it. It is running just fine now. I counted out the links on original chain and the same amount of links for the new chain. Holding them side by side, I was able to see that the old chain was stretched out a significant...

It's the original chain. Wondering if it's just stretched out or something. When putting the new master link in, I can get it to just barely connect. I definitely could not remove a link. I will check the alignment. I think I might pick up a new chain. At least one of the links binds up...

I have been trying to drive my Carter Bros kart a bit, and it had been running fine for the few times i've been out with it. Starting yesterday, the chain started to pop off. I lost a whole link, so I went to Tractor Supply and picked up a repair kit. This evening, I replaced the link...

They started reassembly on Friday. As soon as the new battery tray is welded in place, the back half will go back on. My battery is a little longer than the original, so a new tray had to be made.

Another small update. Back from paint. Should be reassembling next week. I am anxious to get it back together so I can find out what parts I need to order to make sure they are in and finished by Christmas.

Thanks! That is good information! I will have a look at it. I have no idea, but I will take some measurements in a bit.
