I live in Massachusetts in the south shore area. Does anyone know where i could possibly get a comet 30 series torque converter belt somewhat locally south of boston? I would rather not order it if i can avoid it. Thanks.

I am having the same issue with my HF engine. Is it difficult to remove the low oil sensor in this engine? If you have pics of how you did it that would be awesome.

I have the original engine which is a tecumseh and it must have had the coil to run lights because the kart came with lights from the factory. Maybe i could steal the coil off the old engine and bolt it to the case on the new one?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but can't find a previous thread on this subject. I have a 6.5 hp harbor freight clone engine and i just want to know how to wire the lights from the generator on the engine. It has the wiring coming out of the engine cover. Thanks.

I think i will make a live axle for it. As long as i use the same mounting system that it already has, i could just swap the diff axle in if i really wanted to. Then i can have the best of both worlds.

I was thinking about just swapping the whole set up for a live axle. I could just reuse the the mounting system with the tubes that hold the bearings in place. Would the diff set up really perform poorly? I kind of thought it would be better than a live axle in every way, unless the kart really...

Thanks for that link. That is exactly the info i was trying to get a hold of. Those prices make my wallet sad. I think I will try to fix my axles before spending 100 bucks on a 2 foot piece of steel.

Here is a pic of the entire axle assembly put back together hand tight, pic of inside the diff, and the axle itself which needs to be replaced. Can't find a single part number on any rear axle parts either. The axle has splines which lock into the gear inside the diff on one end and just...

Yeah that is the next thing on the list once i get the rear axle situation figured out. This thing has had the snot beat out of it. I was told it was taken off a ledge that was a couple feet high, smashed into a tree and not to mention totally submerged under water.

No i haven't yet because i wouldn't even know what info to give them in order for them to try to figure it out. But i may just try that tomorrow.

Hey everyone, I am new here. I just picked up a 2 seater Carter go kart from a friend for free. My issue is that it has bent rear axles and i can't find a model number anywhere on it. This thing has been repainted probably four times so any stickers are long gone and i don't see any numbers...
