No, it's a plug, not a bolt head.

There is a rubber cap covering the plug. The plug is definitely metal on mine, not plastic. But even if plastic, still need a large Allen wrench to get it out.

Got tires aligned and adjusted to not rub on body with full turn, all ready to go!

One more question. I don't have a hex head large enough to remove the fill plug on the body on the steering gear (haven't measured it, but looks about 3/4"). Do these things come prefilled, or do I need to add hydraulic fluid?

The new tie rods I haven't used, one has a smooth finish, and one has a craze appearance. Neither has the the threaded holes bored straight either. They would work, but they wobble back and forth when spinning them on or off. Other than that, happy with the quality of the steering gear and...

I can pull it out of the trailer and set it aside until you have time if you want. I just need to get my trailers emptied to go pick up lumber and rebar, then some more trusses.
