Bud, I am starting to wonder if South African E-Scooters are not the same at all compared to others on the globe.
The Lithium pack I built boosted the performance a lot on my scooter :)
Even when I used 36V on my 24V controller it performed much better :)
It is a road bike :D And I am 60Kg
For sure the controller will do more than 1440W burst :D
I like the cowdung part hahahaha :p
What I mend by years is that the factory specs are there for longevity and not max power.
If a manufacturer claims 1Kw then rule of thumb is 2Kw with not to much loss, but at 3x 4x the losses stat to get high.
At factory specs a motor will last 10+years
No it was not rewound :) And there are a lot.
Well I get almost 60Km/h with the "320W" MY1016 :D
I am not trying to be wise or...
Hey guys. Thanks for the replies!
I noticed when it pulls strong it smokes a little witch is normal and as soon as it hits the splutter it smokes twice as much.
The carburetor seems to be a 10mm one
Yes the overall quality is no QC Chinese build :/
One problem that I should state also is that...
Where did the information come from for overvolting a motor?
Using a 36V motor on 48V will only lose a few % on efficiency.
I am running a 24V motor at 45V+ no problems with efficiency and more than double rated power. I am using a 36V 40A controller on it :)
You will see people on...
Hi members.
I have this little mini scooter thing.
As soon as it feels like it wants to go fast it starts to splutter :( Think it does around 25km/h
The engine looks to be factory modified from a "weed eater"
Thanks for the info :)
But that is 3min 80ah and 2min 120ah
Anyway I am waiting for a price on these :D

eight of them should be good for a tire smoker :p
174W = 15km/h for an hour!!! Insane!! If you do 3+3 for 66V and 8ah then you are in business with a really small amount of batteries! How big are these batteries? Will 6 of them size up to one car battery in physical size? Imagine 20 of these batteries! :surrender: You have something special...
You will have theoretical 123A draw yes. But that is at full load.
Heat, efficiency all play a role. If you could drive it for 20min at 123A load then you must be a happy person :) Sitting in a cart for more than 20min is not nice on your body :p
And make your own controller! :D
There are some...
I would say you want something like this

Sounds awesome to me! But you will need to invest in good batteries like golf cart ones.
And get cooling of some sort for the motor :)
And if you run it at 36v it will not heat up that much but you will also not get its peak power.
I don't really want to soil the other good threads :D
I would like to build my own frame :)
And I hope I don't fade away! Just need time and money as we all do :p
