    Electricty on my Kart

the electric starting system also is the charging system and is fairly self contained. If you have a pull start on your engine at the moment then you do not have what it takes to make the engine duel purpose. The charging system runs off of the different flywheel and electric starter mounted...

    new project...

I'll read up on how to post them in a few once I go out there to take some! Got the motor mounted ALOT better on the kart and fixed a snaffoo with the brakes and one of the wheels. Seems the set screw I was using for the brakes (drum brake with no keyway... I know it's the wrong darn brake...

We have a winner! Well we will once I get new rubber on the front end. tires popped on the first turn, but it didn't have the same problems as it did before. Note to self... when you goto the store tonight for tires make sure to get a kill switch. that was f-ing special.:censored: :mad2:

    new project...

Update I finally got the 1 rim off the axle (took 2 hours with a carbide bit, air drill, air hammer, sweat, and TONS of compressed air). I changed the rear tires/rims to a split rim that bolts to a hub for easier removal. I have about 1 1/2 inch clearance below the rear sprocket. I had to...

    Rejetting the carb ?

:cheers2: Your scrodial dimentions are far greater then mine my friend... not to say I wouldn't TRY it mind you, but with the wife and the 3yrold sitting at home waiting for daddy to come make the bread for the bread I calmed WAY down and air on the side of safety. There's a country song...

    Mad Max

You can always add much smaller "behind the seat" style rollbar that if you flip the cart you'll not split open your head. And where A helmet. I mearly was suggesting that if you put on a 5-8HP engine you should remove some weight. Rock out with your c0$k out man and go balls out... but be...

    Welding help

The best welder is the one that you buy for a great deal and learn to weld with till you are satisfied. I personally have a Miller Dialarc and a Lincoln ARC225. If you are planning in the future to aluminum weld then you'll want to go with a very good AC/DC MIG welder or a TIG that can do all...

    Rejetting the carb ?

the material you removed from the head isn't going to lower the compression by much, seriously. If you want to raise compression and raise the CFM rate of the carb you are going to loose out on power after a certain point. There is only so much a 5HP motor can do. I wouldn't modify the intake...

    Sled Motor?

No... they are water cooled and unless you setup a radiator/cooling fan and custom piping it would get REALLY hot and blow up. If you took the time to do that it would be a scrubbin awesome motor for it.

Can Anyone Tell Me , What Kind Of Kart This Supposed To Be??

I believe that frame is home built to use with a motorcycle engine setup, so something very sililar. It's very very tough looking and probably weighs in close to the 400-500lb range. If you've got a spare motorcycle engine laying around it'll be fantastic for making a cart out of... if you...

    Power Wheels 12 volt Battery

Power Wheel batteries have come a long way. Pregio makes "power wheel" type carts and the battery in it is able to last 2 hours on a 50WATT motor. You'd be looking at about 1 1/2 hours on 1 battery to run 1 light at full power. Goto BatteriesPlus+ and look at some of the batteries they have...

    new project...

my niece is 160lbs and just about a foot shorter then me... and she's only 13. Add the weight of one of her sisters riding with her and you have 220-230lbs (depending on which sister) on the cart. it's alittle less then me so I want to make sure the cart can handle me on it with no problems...

    new project...

So I made the trade! This 8HP motor is so dang clean... it's scary! I also got the Comet clutch #40/41 10 tooth from my brother. Construction of the 2 clutches are completely different. I'm having a very very very hard time getting the 8" rims off of the axle since they are all inclusive and...

    new project...

You never have to worry about me being offended, and sometimes I can come across like a prick if I know something *gasp* I know I know... and I seem like such a nice guy! So this is what I'm going to do to fix the issue. Found a guy with an older 8HP Briggs to trade my newer 7HP OHV Briggs...
