    T-man. Ebay is where i found that brake. 30 dollars was all. good place to get parts ive found. iRenaat.....I got this kart as a trial run, to see how to do alot of things. Ive never built one of these things so i kinda wanted to get something that was done and rework it to how I wanted it...

    the rims are 8" ones from BMI. they are for the 4" x4 bolt hubs from BMI also. I bought all my live axel stuff from them. the tires are snowhogs....heres a link. http://www.milfordpower.com/R8918_CA...BE_p/r8918.htm 8" wheel and a 8" tire are not the right match. im thinkin about buyin...

    well I have the engine mounted and header built now. getting closer to test ride but im kinda fighting the brake system now. gonna have to do some reworking. anyway heres a few pics of the pipe now. pretty good flames come flyin out when it pops and backfires. still gettin it tuned in

    k. see how the lip of the rim is sticking out farther than the tire? both tire and rim are 8". if the rim were 6" the side wall of the tire would "baloon" out more. it would be like the 2nd pic. make sence now?

    I bought 8" wide tires and 8" wide rims and the edge of the rim sticks out a bit. I was told that when buying 3 wheeler tires to get the rim a couple inches smaller than the tire so the edge of the rim doesnt stick out. they said the tire will stay on the bead better. I havnt rode mine around...

    Thanks anderkart. the caliper is off of a sled. not sure but i think its a artic cat. its been kickin around for a few years so i figured i'd use it. The disk is off of a skidoo I belive. i just got it a few weeks ago. had a friend machine the center out for the shaft.

    well we got the tires mounted on the rims and the brake in place now. starting to look like something again. the brake mounted in nice and tight. really like how this turned out.

    there Pillow Block Bearings. you can get em to whatever size your axle. got the tires today...sweet. pics tonight

    im gonna run lock collors on the back of each rim.....but i did notice that when i was measuring the distance from the bearing to the end of the shaft. this is all mock up, im gonna paint it up after i get everything in place so i'll probably turn one of em around.
