That's what I thought too. I noticed all the racers online you can get pre built have 1.25 I thought it seemed overkill.

Good morning folks, I'm ordering parts for a barstool racer and I'm trying to decide on a 1" or 1.25" axle. This is my first build so I have no experience with either. I'm also looking for suggestions on wheels & tires. I will be running mostly yard and dirt. Thank you guys.

Hello folks, I'm putting together a bar stool racer and was hoping to learn from y'all about the motor & live axle set ups. This little project has taken me down a rabbit hole of the kart world that I didn't know existed. So much to learn
