    Engine Advice Needed

Get the 212. Easy to monitor the top speed. How tall are the rear wheels? 12" or less ( maybe even 14 ) you can get by with a centrifugal clutch. Any taller and you need a 30 series torque converter. Even with short tires, A torque converter is a LOT better choice for lots of stop and start...

    New to go karts

Welcome to the forum. From your post, I assume it's brand new. Probably has lots of features and capabilities, and plenty of wiring. From past experiences ( not mine ) but reading about problems from others, keep the kart out of the weather when not in use, and when cleaning it, use dry rags...

    Minibike lost 10mph

Your alignment looks pretty close. In your 3rd picture it looks like the driven is a little more out board than the driver. OMB Warehouse ( and probably others ) sell shim kits for this exact purpose. The shims are .020" thick. A common hardware store washer is about .050" thick. Yours looks...

    Formula 1 2026 Season

Don't know if you know who Pato O'ward is. He has come in 2nd at the Indy 500 twice and today won his 1st event of the year. A very charismatic and popular driver on the Indy car circuit. Hard not to be in awe of the formula 1 machines, but the lack of passing and wheel to wheel racing makes for...

    Minibike lost 10mph

Post the picture with the belt removed. That part is important.

    Minibike lost 10mph

Get the rotary or comet belt. Also please post a picture from above of your driver and the driven ( also from the rear ) so we can see the alignment of the two clutches. On the 30 series, alignment has to be almost perfect. Misaligned clutches causes premature belt wear on an awful lot of karts...

    Horrible fright strikes again!

Except when you want a good tap that performs as it should. Honestly though I am a bit biased. Not too long ago I was gifted a " Snap On " tap and die set, SAE & Metric. I doubt that I could have afforded it new. The few I have used cut perfectly.

100 degree (Fahrenheit 🇺🇸🦅) weather problems.

When I say no noticeable difference, I mean that running the kart in 70 degree weather and running the kart in 100+ degree weather, there is no noticeable difference in performance using the " seat of your pants " measuring device. Feels and runs the same. I ( like many others ) don't think warm...

100 degree (Fahrenheit 🇺🇸🦅) weather problems.

Too thin of air ( low oxygen content ) occurs at higher altitude. Not affected much by temperature.

100 degree (Fahrenheit 🇺🇸🦅) weather problems.

I have never seen a NOTICEABLE difference in power output, running in 70 degrees and up to about 106 degrees. Above that, we stay home.

ARC rod copy for GX340/390/predator 420

What is the price difference between that and the ( real deal ) ARC rod? You could always buy some ARP bolts ( like the ones you get from ARC.) That is where a lot of the strength comes from. Regardless, it's got to be a lot better than the stock setup.

    Project Stoopid!

650 Ninja, 8 year old child. What could possibly go wrong? You know that I'm a big fan of starting them young, but it would be the perfect kart for you.

    Project Stoopid!

Looks like some serious stopping power.

Can you rent a tire mounting tool?

Big name brand tire shops are the worst. Most don't want to, and many don't have employees that know how to anyway. A small independent shop ( sometimes on the wrong side of the tracks ) is much more likely to help you. I'm lucky enough to have such a shop a couple of miles away from where I...

Manco Go Kart Model Numbers & Names

I get dizzy just looking at the list. My Manco Intruder looks EXACTLY like the picture. Except mine's now blue. Big kart. 68" wheelbase. Easy to get in and out of. Especially for someone my age.
