It is huge. It's going to be a great project. The 650 is water cooled and it would make tons of power. I'm just unsure on exactly how to set it up. I guess more research is in order. If you have any recommendations on what to do on the rearend or any links for advice that would be awesome.
I need the CV half shafts (rear axles), a dual reservoir master cylinder for the brakes, and I'd like to hear some good engine options and what others like yourself would do with it.
Im not sure how the rear hub assembly works. It rolls and the brakes work, just no axles. The previous owner didn't know if the Ninja engine ran. They were never able to get it to fire. I'm not sure how much more fabrication would be required to complete this swap. I would need to rig up a...
I purchased this yesterday after reading a posting on here that said, (when you think you've found a good deal)..buy it first and ask questions later. I need to know what it is (brand/model) so I can find replacement parts and decide which way to start on the rebuild. The previous owner didn't...
If I can just get a little more out of the stock motor on the Dongfang I may shift my attention to rebuilding this. If anyone can tell me anything about it that would be helpful. I bought it from a kid yesterday. They were trying to get the 650 Kawasaki Ninja motor to pull it. I have the...
What I was considering, and keep in mind I have very limited knowledge on this subject, was that it would need to be jetted if I put a pipe and different air cleaner. At least that's how motorcycles are that I've worked on. Also I need to figure out how to remove or disengage the governor...
It does run and doesn't do bad. It could use more power for climbing is my main complaint.
Do you know much about this motor/carb? What could I do to it?
25cc motorbike engine instead (with four times the power! proper gearbox and it's even more likely that the fnr gearbox can be reused)
And on top of all that money spent.. it's likely going to be a disappointing result

I'm open to suggestions.

I'll take one and post it as soon as I get home. I've been thinking about the issue of having enough space. I believe if I replace the breather and relocate the fuel tank I should be in good shape. The 168 that's on it has both and fits nice.
That's a good question. I assumed that it would have reverse. I'll research that some more. What do you think about the current gear box, it's probably similar but it does have reverse. Do you think I could retain it? (Provided there's room for the 420, which I believe I could modify if not)...
