    Manco XTK 706b

It is a 6” disc. There is room to run another on the passenger side if needed. More than adequate for now. Been thinking about adding to frame behind seats and 4/5 point harnesses. What I need to figure out is the front end. It is so light it wants to plow forward into turns. I believe I need to...

    Manco XTK 706b

The problem with mine, I believe, was the linkage had wear/slop in so many places proper adjustment was impossible. You could try using a cable (GPS sells a heavy duty for around $20). That’s what I used in the yard kart I built with leftover parts from this build and it works.

    Absolutely. Far better than original.

Full Suspension Big Block Mini-Buggy Build

I want to do something similar. I plan on using the BDX a-arm kit/bulkhead for a Yerfdog. Post updates when you can. Thanks.

    The HTK- hand truck kart.

Thanks for the comments. Had to lengthen the tab on steering shaft and put spacers on rod ends because it turned like a battleship. Put a smaller sprocket on because the vibration at high rpm was really uncomfortable.

    The HTK- hand truck kart.

Had a bunch of leftover parts from Manco XTK build. Decided to build a yard kart out of a hand truck. Was going for a F1 style, narrow body/wide stance. Had to reinforce frame rails with 1/8 x 3/4 angle for rigidity, but that gave me flat surface to mount floor pan. Made the mistake of building...

    Manco XTK 706b

1st, the master cyl mount is a little janky. I had many hours and $ into this build and it was basically unusable with no brakes. Hated to cut sheet metal but it was the simplest way. Bought the kit because reviews said it was compatible with GPS aftermarket rotor. 1/8 x 1 angle for master cyl...

    Manco XTK 706b

Running, stock 212 when I bought it. Bent A arm, spindles, dried out tires, brakes for display only. Got it home, ordered parts then stripped it down/painted. Put it all together with a stage 1 212. That version didn’t last long 420 Predator, gov/lops removed, stage 1 40 series torque...

    Manco 706b rebuild

I redid one of these last year. Rough ride-stock rear springs are 700 in/lbs. Replacement “heavy duty” 450 in/lbs ride much better. Manco single seats don’t help, bottom cushion is thin. Brakes- I eventually went with hydraulic. The mechanical brakes were probably adequate when new, but the...

    Yard kart front/rear axle width

Ton of leftover parts laying around and I want to build a yard kart. I have a 42” live axle and accessories. Will making the front axle width narrower than the rear negatively affect handling or should I make it the same?

Adding hydraulic brake/caliper to existing disc?

Did this to a Manco XTK with hex axle. Used the "Mid S brake kit" from GoPowersports ($100) specifically because a review stated it would work with Manco/aftermarket brake disc. Won't lock the tires but stops far better than mechanical brake.

    Manco axle swap questions.

I have a 706b with 7/8 hex axle, looking to put a 1” round axle in. GPS has “standard 1” round”, 42 inch for $54, but the Manco axle of the same dimensions is $99. Is there a difference?

    Hello from western NY.

Bought my first ever kart a couple months ago, a basket case Manco 706b. Got it running, driving and painted; looks/runs good but I want to take it to the next level (or beyond.)
