My Kohler manual says 87 or higher unless you live in a country that uses the research method then it's 90 minimum. (What ever the research method is). Isn't 87 regular gas?

Sorry I tried to post a picture of the Kohler engine manual. It has a section that talks about fuel systems. Gas systems take a special regulator. They have been making them for years. I have one on my Briggs home generator.

I've had the same issue with the newer fuel with ethanol in it. My engine has a mechanical fuel pump mounted to the side. It uses a rubber diaphragm to pump the gas to the carburetor. The rubber will get pin holes in it from the ethanol. Which leads to gas in the oil. Buna-N Nitrile rubber is...
