I understand that rebuilding the engine or putting a rebuilt engine is going to be expensive. But, I’ve gone down similar roads. It never seems to workout as well as you think it will. I don’t think that any type of belt is going hold up to that amount of HP and weight in this configuration. You...
That credit card should be used as a last resort for any type of legit emergency. Say you go on a trip and your car gets a flat tire. You need a tow, but it's late all the shops are closed. Have to wait till the next day. Need a hotel room.
I'm sorry that you are disabled. I don't know your...
How does the engine sounds when you try to go? Does it sound like it’s working hard? Does the sound change in/out of gear? Does it change with the wheels off the ground?
To make your pivots your going to need some sort of hinge. Your on the right track with bushings and tubing. You can google bushings for there ID and OD and match them up to tubing sizes to find what you need.
For example for a pivot you could use a 5/8 bolt with 1”x0.125” tubing with a 0.75od...
I understand the difference between continuous power and peak power. For the basis of all of my comparisons with motors I have always believed that the published number is the peak power. So by looking at the 24v 1020my on electricscooterparts.com I see it has a rating of 500w. I believe that...
The motor that I have is rated for 1050W at 22.5v
I understand that 1000w at 24v is a lot of amps but I don't have the room for 48v with the current setup.
It's would seem that amps are amps.
It does have front suspension. It is a solid front axle set up. It is a radius arm set up.
I would definitely call them "springs" Any type of spring that I got from a small kids atv were way to stiff. So I came up with these springs.
As for the color scheme the two little girls that this was...
Do the rear tires spin when they are off the ground? I am very skeptical that they have the wrong sprocket on it.
I'm thinking that there might be a slipping CVT clutch belt or even stuck or locked brakes?
Does every tire spin freely?
11 gauge is going to be close to 1/8" of and inch thick or .125
16 gauge is going to be close to 1/16" of and inch thick or .0625
If you were comparing 1x1 to 1x1 then the 11 gauge would be easily stronger than the 16 gauge
But comparing 1x1 to 1.25x1.25 is a little different. Up to a point...
It seems to be holding up just fine. I was going to use smaller batteries but the run time just wasn't there.
It does get hot some but that's only after a very extended use. We live in a very flat area. So we don't have to worry about hills. So that helps a ton.
Go beg borrow, or dumpster dive for power chair, hoverround, or the like. It will give you the basic components needed for a go kart. Usually they will have bad batteries. You then also need to find a very cheap go kart frame. You can find one that has a bad motor you can get it fairly cheap...
